Grand Villa Casino Edmonton stands 0.5 km from Sir Winston Churchill Square in a straight line, wired into the ICE District. Behind its door are a pedway level with two restaurants and a hall that leads to the arena and the LRT.

Behind the door
Behind the Grand Villa door, the pedway level holds two restaurants. Match Eatery & Public House is a British-style pub with live music, DJs and sports on TV. ATLAS Steak + Fish shares the level. It is 18+ and opens Thursday to Saturday.
Out on the gaming floor, Centro Bar sits in the centre of the room. It serves players without sending them off the floor.
Grand Villa has no hotel of its own and lists no show room with a published capacity. The JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District stands nearby as a separate hotel, not part of the casino. On its 5th floor are Braven, Kindred Food + Drink, the Lobby Bar and Alchemy Bar. A patio there looks over ICE District Plaza. Readers who want a bed after the floor will need to look past this door.
Plates and closing times
Match Eatery & Public House opens daily from 11:30 am to 11 pm. ATLAS Steak + Fish serves 4 pm to 10 pm, Thursday to Saturday. Sunday to Wednesday it stays closed, except on major event dates and hockey games, when it also opens.
Grand Villa's kitchens close by 11 pm, so the guide lists no food here after that hour. Centro Bar on the casino floor opens at 12 pm and keeps serving drinks until 2 am. It is a bar, not a kitchen, and the guide does not count it as late food.

The floor and its hours
Slot machines at Grand Villa run from 12 pm to 3 am. Tables open later, at 2 pm, and close at the same hour. Outside those hours the gaming floor is closed, though the pedway restaurants keep their own schedules. Centro Bar opens at 12 pm along with the slots. Holiday hours should be checked on the venue's own site.
The casino opened on September 7, 2016. Rogers Place opened the next day, and the two have shared 104 Avenue since.
Around and indoors
Ford Hall spans 104 Avenue and ties Grand Villa into the downtown pedway. From it, indoor routes run to Rogers Place and to MacEwan LRT station. The casino can also be reached through the LRT corridor from MacEwan. Ford Hall is open to the public outside event hours.
MacEwan station is a Metro Line stop on 105 Avenue, between 103 and 104 Street. It opened on September 6, 2015, and is accessible. Rogers Place, home of the Edmonton Oilers, has its 104 Avenue lobby beside the casino. In winter, ICE District Plaza outside has a public skating rink.
Parking comes with a condition. On non-event days, casino customers park free in the heated underground P1 level, entered from 102 Street. On event days there is no free parking.

Can you reach Grand Villa from the LRT without going outside?
Yes, through Ford Hall and the pedway. Ford Hall links the downtown pedway to Rogers Place, Grand Villa and MacEwan LRT station. The casino can also be reached through the LRT corridor from MacEwan. Ford Hall is open to the public outside event hours.
Is parking free at Grand Villa?
Free parking applies on non-event days only. Casino customers can use the heated underground P1 level, entered from 102 Street. On event days there is no free parking.
